We at the International Women's Organisation in Malmö are looking for women who want to work in healthcare as a care assistant/carer. In our study circle, you get sufficient knowledge for employment or internship in healthcare. We do not have the legitimation right, but after only one semester you will receive a certificate that you have the knowledge required to be able to be employed.
Who can apply?
You are over 18 years old and identify yourself as a woman. Your Swedish level corresponds to Swedish CEFR B1 level, SFI C.
Content:
- Theory and Practice
- The teaching of geriatrics
- Professional language - the Swedish language that is used daily in healthcare
- Laws and regulations in healthcare
- Knowledge of certain medications and what to consider when dosage
- Body awareness
- Psychological terms in healthcare
- Knowledge of the behaviors and difficulties that many patients have
- Rights and obligations as an employee in healthcare
- Communication with employers, colleagues and users
- Taking initiative in the workplace
- Exercises such as lifting techniques to increase participants' self-confidence so that they are prepared to work in healthcare
Our ambition is to be able to enable a shorter internship period for the participants via our networks or to offer the participants to internship for one day at a potential future workplace.
