Get Me On Board

Get Me On Board was a collaboration with International Refugee Rights Association in Istanbul. In Turkey there are around 4 million refugees, the majority of them are women who are outside the Turkish labor market. The aim of this project was to make the potential that these women have visible and to share IKFs best practice from the project Carpe Sophia. The goal was to create a tailor made method and tools through workshops, interviews and to create a career handbook in Istanbul. The project was funded by Svenska Institutet.

Job Search Guide

The project Get me on Board is releasing the film ”Strength Among Us” a guide for job searchers in Turkey aimed for syrian female refugees. The guide was created to increase the womens knowledge about the Turkish work culture, rules and laws on the Turkish labor market. The guide is available in English, Turkish and Arabic.

Strength Among Us

Touching, strong and well done. A unique film.The comments were positive from the audience during the premiere of the documentary Strength Among Us. The premiere audience represents over 50 different organizations in both Sweden and Turkey. "Strength Among Us" was released in August 2020, and lets 24 women who move from Syria to Turkey tell about their lives before and after the trip to the new country. The film is available in both English and Turkish.
