Susanna Alakoski
We are so proud to present the author Susanna Alakoski as IKF Malmö's Honorary Member and ambassador. Susanna Alakoski made her debut in 2006 with the novel Svinalängorna, which was awarded with the August Prize and became both theater and a movie. She is an educated social worker and in 2015 Susanna was named Honorary Doctor at the Faculty of Health and Society at Malmö University. Currently Susanna has published Bomullsänglen, the first part of a four-book novel series.
"As an author I have never stopped immigrating. When Kockums Malmö was closing down in the 70s, the International Women's Association in Malmö (IKF Malmö) continued to build both bridges and boats. To learn and and to teach. Creating new paths. I'm proud to carry the history of women further. The culture is the bridge I want to continue building on."
