BOSS - Heritage Business Strategies for Sustainable Development
The project has aimed to support women’s entrepreneurship within family businesses, including in leadership roles. Its goal has also been to foster a culture of equal rights for both women and men, leading to equal opportunities and a healthy work–life balance.
Purpose and Background
BOSS was an international collaboration project aimed at strengthening women’s entrepreneurship and leadership within family-owned businesses - a frequently underestimated yet vital part of Europe’s economy and cultural heritage.
The project highlighted the need to challenge traditional gender roles and promoted an inclusive business environment where women are given equal opportunities to take on decision-making roles.By focusing on sustainable business strategies and a gender equality perspective, the project sought to contribute to both economic development and social change.
Its mission was to preserve and further develop the legacy of family enterprises, while empowering the next generation of women to become active agents in entrepreneurship.
