Self-Advocacy & Freedom Enhancement – Strategic Training for Equality, Protection & Support (SAFE-STEPS)

SAFE-STEPS empowers young women to navigate public spaces safely by developing emotional intelligence, resilience, and community engagement. Through digital tools, non-formal learning, and collaborative activities, the project works to prevent Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and create safer, more inclusive communities.
Project Goals
- Increase awareness of Gender-Based Violence in public spaces and its structural causes
- Strengthen young women’s emotional intelligence and resilience
- Promote individual and collective action to prevent Gender-Based Violence and foster safer communities
Key Outputs
- Digital Resource Portal: Microlearning modules providing practical guidance on safety, emotional intelligence, and advocacy
- Simulation-based Training Program – “Real-World Resilience”: Interactive exercises replicating real-life situations to build confidence and coping skills
- EU-Wide Advocacy Campaign – “Voices Against Violence”: Raising awareness and driving policy discussions at local and European levels
- Interactive Learning Tools: Quizzes, exercises, and a peer-support circle model to encourage ongoing learning and community building
